Player highlights

A highlight is a ring at a player's feet, with a label you type in, that follows them across the picture.

  1. Press H for the highlight tool, and pause.
  2. Drag a box around the player. A ring appears with its label.
  3. Move on through the game and drag another box around the same player. The ring glides between the boxes you place.

The ring belongs to the footage, not to a clip, so it shows wherever that footage does: while you scan, while you record, in a preview, and in every export that crosses it, the goals reel included. It stays on the player as you zoom and pan. You can place one while recording as well as outside a take.

The Highlights panel, under the Match panel, lists the ringed players. Select one to change its label or colour, to delete it, or to remove the box on the frame you are looking at with Delete key here. Those edits are off while you are recording.

Esc drops the selected ring, then leaves the tool. A highlight cannot ride a stream-copied whole match.
