Using pundit

pundit is built around one way of working: open the match, watch it, and talk over the moments that matter. Every page here is one part of that, and they are in the order you meet them.

  1. Installing — the package, what your machine needs, and where the app keeps its files.
  2. Projects and matches — starting a match from its video files, opening one you made earlier, and what is inside the folder.
  3. Watching the game — playing, skipping, scanning fast, zooming and fitting the window.
  4. Recording commentary — talking over the game, drawing on it, and the webcam or photo in the corner.
  5. Clips — naming, tagging, previewing and tidying what you recorded.
  6. The scoreboard and match clock — teams, goals and periods, typed in or tagged live.
  7. Slates — marking a range now and recording over it later.
  8. Player highlights — a ring that follows a player.
  9. Transcripts — the words of a clip, written out on your own machine.
  10. Exporting — clips, reels and the whole match as .mp4, and the files that land beside them.
  11. The basket — one film from clips in several matches.
  12. When something goes wrong — where the log is and what to look for.

The keyboard shortcuts page lists every key the app listens for, and what stops each one working.
